Requirement

The Army required operations, maintenance, and integration of its Transportation Coordinators – Automated Movement and Identification Solutions (TC-AIMS II) system under Automated Movement and Identification Solutions (AMIS).

Exeter Solution

TC-AIMS II is a logistics system that facilitates the planning and execution of troop equipment movements from CONUS to OCONUS and the reverse. Exeter provides IT services to support TC-AIMS II’s ability to provide accurate and timely requirements and real-time visibility of movements to support deployment, redeployment, and sustainment of U.S. Forces, in peace as well as during contingencies.

Specifically, Exeter provides management, sustainment, Information Assurance, certification and accreditation, development, test, and integration services to AMIS in support of TC-AIMS II. Exeter’s responsibilities include systems engineering and planning; software development and maintenance; enterprise systems management; network management; software and hardware test, evaluation, and implementation; COTS, GOTS, and Non-Developmental Item integration; Tiers 2, 3 and 4 helpdesk activities; and configuration management. We currently maintain the enterprise and a stand-alone version of TC-AIMS II. Exeter performs new software development as special projects under the task order, such as adding additional functionality to the application.

Exeter’s early application of our integrated management process to the TC-AIMS II program assisted in the early completion of the program transition period 16 days ahead of the 60-day allowance. Exeter instituted an Agile software development process that drove the implementation of a new web-based version of TC-AIMS II as a major software release 4 days ahead of schedule. Exeter’s Information Assurance expertise was able to secure a new Authority to Operate for the TC-AIMS II application in less than 11 months. Exeter has leveraged our extensive experience in Enterprise-level IT Operations in successfully relocating the TC-AIMS II system from the ALTESS datacenter to the Oklahoma City DISA DECC.

Exeter has supported the Army since 2005.
